On 24th March 2022, SBRR Mahajana Law College celebrated Freshers Day in Subbalakshmi Hall.

The program was inaugurated by the Chief guest Dr. S. Shivarajappa, Former Director, Oriental Research Institute, University of Mysuru. Dr. T. Vijayalaksmi Murulidhar, Hon’ble Secretary, Prof. P. Sarojamma, Administrative officer, MES, Prabhuswamy M.M, Principal presided over the function.

On 14th January 2022, National Youth Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sri. Swami Vivekananda was celebrated in SBRR Mahajana Law College.

Chief Guest for the event was Prof. M. S. Venugopal, Retd. Professor of Law, JSS Law College, Mysuru. President: Dr. Vijayalakshmi Muralidhar, Hon’ble Secretary, Mahajana Education Society, Mysuru. Guest of Honour: Prof. P. Sarojamma, Administrative Officer, Mahajana Education Society, Mysuru.

Prof. M. S. Venugopal addressed the students, said that the ideals of Swami Vivekananda inspire and energize millions of Indians, particularly our youth. He said Swami Vivekananda lives in the hearts and minds of every Indian, especially the dynamic youth of India.

On this day, 18th February, 2022, S.B.R.R Mahajana Law College organized a technical workshop on “Moot Court”.

The resource persons were Mr. Akshay Mithanthaya and Mr. Akash Thakur, Moot Court trainers. They conducted a PowerPoint presentation on moot court memorials and covered various aspects regarding kinds of moot court competition, oral submission etiquettes, and procedure to draft moot court memorials.

Three students from SBRR Mahajana Law College, Shilpa, Rajeshwari and Varun Kumar of 1st Year LLB and Sunil of Final year LLB course, participated in Mock Vidhana Sabha Competition held in Zilla Panchayath, Mysuru on February 19, 2022.

Varun Kumar, 1st Year LLB student secured 11th Prize as well as he was selected for State Level Competition.

Guest lecture on “Labour law – On new labour codes

On this day, 25th February, 2022, S.B.R.R Mahajana Law College organized a Guest lecture on “Labour law – On new labour codes” to provide latest update on new labour codes to students.

The guest speaker for the event was Mr. Purushotham J, who is a practising advocate specialized in labour law in Mysuru.

The lecture was very informative. Mr. Purushotham gave an insight on practical applicability of labour laws and discussed advantages and challenges in implementing new labor codes in India. Mr. Purushotham shared 30 plus years of his professional journey, his experiences, his early hardships and challenges and dedication towards his profession, which inspired and motivated students.

“Charts Exhibition on Indian Penal Code, 1860”

On this day, 26th February, 2022, Saturday, S.B.R.R Mahajana Law College organized a “Charts Exhibition on Indian Penal Code, 1860” in the college premises (Room No. 2), where students from First Year LLB displayed charts on various topics assigned to them on Indian Penal Code.

On 17th March 2022, SBRR Mahajana Law College organized an Inauguration of Case Summary Committee. The case summary was related to Pulwama attack.

On March 8, 2022, Tuesday, S.B.R.R Mahajana Law College celebrated Women’s Day in the college campus.

Guest of Honor for the day was Mrs. Dhakshayani, Social Activist, Rtd teacher from T S Subbanna Sarvajanika School.

On March 12, 2022, Tuesday, S.B.R.R Mahajana Law College celebrated activities relating to the Green Committee by planting trees outside the college campus.

Guest of Honor for the day was President, Mr. Muralidhar Bhagwat and Hon’ble Secretary, Dr. Vijayalakshmi Muralidhar.
